3rd National MUN- Drafr Resolution proposed by Cyprus.

Proposed country: Cyprus.
The 3rd NTU World MUN EC Commission decided the following work programs in response to the highly unemployment issues in the European Commission.

Principle:
Promote appropriate policies that aim at reducing unemployment and enhancing the employability of the unemployed;

Short-term steps:
1.1
Affording the classroom training, on-the-job training, and work experience for labor market; 1.2
Create incentive programs in private sector for unemployed individuals who start their own business to receive the self-employment grants and sometimes also advisory support for a fixed period of time;
1.3
Aim at enhancing job search efficiency by proposing ”Job Search Assistance” category, we believe that the overarching objective that all these measures including job search courses, job clubs, vocational guidance, counseling and monitoring towards increasing the efficiency of the job matching process;

Long-term measures:
2.1
Provide a more general education and specific vocational skills;
2.2
Create direct employment programs in public sector focus on the direct creation and provision of public works or other activities that produce public goods or services;
2.3
Give wage subsidies to long-term unemployed and more disadvantaged individuals to encourage employers to hire new workers or to maintain jobs, these subsidies can either be direct wage subsidies to employers or financial incentives to workers for a limited period of time;
2.4
Provide training program, wage subsidies and job search assistance for unemployed youth;
2.5
Take appropriate measures such as vocational rehabilitation, sheltered work programs or wage subsidies for individuals with physical, mental or social disabilities;
